HOLY WEEK AND EASTER 2005 | HOLY WEEK AT ST. RAPHAEL'S CHURCH | We began Holy Week with Palm Sunday on 20 March. Holy Week is the most important part of the church’s year. Through Holy Week the church provides us with all the symbolism and solemnity it can to focus our minds on the tremendous events that took place over these few days for the sake of our salvation. It is important to take time to think about the drama unfolding before us and what it really means to us. The best way to do this is to follow the whole story that unfolds in the ceremonies starting with Our Lord’s triumphant entry on Palm Sunday; his institution of the Blessed Sacrament (the Body and Blood of Christ) on Maundy Thursday; his trial and crucifixion on Good Friday and his triumphant resurrection from the tomb three days later. | MASS TIMES | STATIONS OF THE CROSS | CONFESSIONS | | MEDITATIONS AND EXPLANATIONS |
