CHRISTMAS MARKET

 HOW YOU CAN HELP

The Christmas Market raises over £2,000 per year to help Fr Vincent meet essential parish expenses.  This year we are donating the proceeds to St Joseph's, our parish school, for the purchase of essential books.  We thank the many people who get involved each year in making this a successful fundraising event.  Particular thanks go to the stallholders.

HOW YOU CAN HELP MAKE THIS A SUCCESSFUL EVENT

There is much to be done to organise the Christmas Market on 30 November and I am relying on as many of you as possible to help raise money.  The organisers of the Market need your support as always.  This is what they need:

v      People willing to run stalls: there is a stallholders’ meeting on Tuesday 12 November at the Presbytery 104 Maple Road, the Presbytery;

v      Helpers on the day itself to help with teas, or helping behind stalls;

v      Help with transporting goods from the Presbytery to Claremont Hall a couple of days before the day and setting out tables for stallholders;

v      Advertising the Market in the local press;

v      Arranging for and erecting the large, eye-catching advertising banner above the main door at Claremont Hall;

v      Donations of raffle prizes;

v      Selling raffle tickets: please take as many books of tickets as possible;

v      Lots of donations of good quality goods. This is not a jumble sale, so only good quality stuff in the following categories:

Arts & Crafts

Glassware

Toys & Games

Toiletries & Gifts

Perfume & Jewellery

Cakes

Sweets

Groceries

Bottles (full!) of all sorts

CDs  Records  Tapes

Videos  Books

Stamps and Coins

Bring all goods to 104 Maple Road

If you can help in any way as described above, please do contact the organisers.  The more helpers, the easier it gets.

Finally, please come to the Christmas Market at Claremont Hall.  It is a chance for the community to get together and to raise essential funds.
