CATHOLIC PRAYERS

The Sign of The Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.

The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

The Creed
We believe in one God,
the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth,
of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,
eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten, not made, of one being with the Father.
Through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven:
All bow for the next three lines
by the power of the Holy Spirit
He became incarnate from the Virgin Mary,
and was made man.

For our sake, He was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered death and was buried.
On the third day He rose again in accordance with the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven

and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
and His kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,

and the life of the world to come.
Amen.

The Gloria
Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father,
we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world:
have mercy on us;
You are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our prayer.
For You alone are the Holy One, You alone are the Lord, You alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
with the Holy Spirit,
in the glory of God the Father.
Amen.

Confession of sins
I confess to Almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault.
(All strike their breast)
In my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done,

and in what I have failed to do;
and I ask blessèd Mary, ever virgin, all the angels and saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Amen.

The Hail Holy Queen(Salve Regina)
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
Hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope.

To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,
to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us,
and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessèd fruit of thy womb, Jesus,
oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary.
Amen.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessèd art thou amongst women,
and blessèd is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners,
now, and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

On the final single bead, say the "Gloria".

Then say one "Our Father", three "Hail Mary"s and the "Gloria"

for the Pope's intentions.

After reciting the Rosary:

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, Hail, our life, our sweetness

and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,

to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this

vale of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of

mercy towards us, and after this our exile, show unto us the

blessèd fruit of thy womb, Jesus, oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet

Virgin Mary.
Amen.

Oh God, whose only begotten Son, who,
by His life, death and resurrection,
hast purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,
grant we beseech Thee,
that meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary,
we may both imitate what they contain,
and obtain what they promise,
through the same Christ Our Lord.
Amen.
