BECOME A CATHOLIC

RCIA 2011-2012

APPLICATION AND ENROLMENT FORM HERE

“Standing before me I see a vibrant image of the universal Church. The variety of nations and cultures from which you hail shows that indeed Christ’s Good News is for everyone; it has reached the ends of the earth. Yet I know too that a good number of you are still seeking a spiritual homeland. Some of you, most welcome among us, are not Catholic or Christian. Others of you perhaps hover at the edge of parish and Church life. To you I wish to offer encouragement: step forward into Christ’s loving embrace; recognize the Church as your home. No one need remain on the outside,

for from the day of Pentecost the Church has been one and universal.”  Pope Benedict XVI, World Youth Day 2008, Sydney.

Course starts September 2008

Meetings take place on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm at the church.

Forms are now available in the sacristy.

The group is very friendly; you go at your own pace.

There is no expectation that in joining the group you will become a Catholic.

You can leave the course at any time.

RCIA course - which stands for "The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults" - is a course of study of the Christian faith for those who have not been baptised.  But the course is available to all Christians who want to gain a deeper understanding of their faith.

FCI - which stands for "Formation and Catechetical Instruction" - is a course of study of the Christian faith for those who have been baptised and wish to be received into full communion with the Catholic Church.

These courses of study are run at St Raphael's.  Please contact Fr. Vincent if you wish to take part in the course.
