ST. RAPHAEL PARISH PILGRIMAGE TO

SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA

On 30 September 2007 a large number of parishioners from St. Raphael's went on pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela - the shrine of St. James in Spain.  As part of the pilgrimage one group of pilgrims walked the traditional 100 km along the final stage of the Camino, the ancient pilgrimage way: the Way of St. James.  The photos below are of the journey made by this group.  Parishioners also sponsored the walk to raise money for our building and restoration project for St. Raphael's church.  Well over £3000 was raised.
